HBCU Night at Magic v. Knicks Game
The Orlando Magic basketball team invited local HBCU band, Bethune-Cookman University, to perform during halftime as tribute for Black History Month.

From Eatonville's own American novelist Zora Neale Hurston to Daytona's historically black college Bethune-Cookman University, central Florida has rich African-American history. So when BCU's marching Wildcats performed at this past Tuesday's Orlando Magic home game I was truly delighted to indulge in this experience. Personally, I attended a PWI and missed out on one of the most popular experiences known to Black Americans nationwide. Although they were in warm up attire, I still felt a sense of fulfillment and pride when watching them, from the drum-line and beyond.

Of course prior to the halftime show by the Marching Wildcats, we heard a beautiful version of the national anthem from one of Florida A&M University's students.
The Tip-Off
I'll be honest, it's been a while since I've attended any basketball event (dare I say since high school) and even then tip off was always one of my favorite moments to watch.

Other Performances
From pre-show, time-outs, and intermittent performances, local schools and dancers were invited out to keep the crowd entertained.
